Author:
Wilfried Rähse was director of process development at Henkel AG&Co.KGaA (Düsseldorf, Germany). He studied chemistry and chemical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), where he received his doctorate in 1976. After his assistantship (1971-77), he worked for 30 years at Henkel, especially in product development, but also in production and environmental technology. His efforts led to the installation of major production plants for the processing of enzymes and agglomerated detergents (Megaperls®), and for spray drying with superheated steam. After a brief retirement, he joined a cosmetic start-up company (Cosmeceuticals) as a partner for product development from 2010 to 2016.
